Edge of Tomorrow was a very good film. I loved how the director kept the moving interesting even though the same events were happening. I'm very excited to see the sequel to this film. I think the idea of making the sequel actually a prequel is a unique idea. I feel like the next movie going to be about Rita and when she first went into the loop and how that all happened. If they were to make the sequel about what happened after I think that they could talk about how he's still in a loop even though they defeated the monster. I'm very excited to see how this plays out.

The whole story of Edge of Tomorrow is a crazy one. If anything, I think they will try to go back to Rita's story. See how she got her power and the way she lost it. The sequel should also show her struggles as she resets the day over and over and show her emotional struggles as well. If they decide to continue from where they left off with Cage and Rita meeting again after they killed the Omega, I'm not sure what else they could put in to keep the story interesting. Especially if the threat from the aliens is eliminated. But imagine this, Cage gets a hold of his new power to control time from the Omega. That would be a very interesting story with him trying to get a hold of his new abilities. They also could have another Omega spawn, but this time, have them come to America instead of Europe.

I think that Liman’s sequel that is also a prequel will explore the events that occur before Edge of Tomorrow. It might explain the events of Verdun, or how the mimics came to earth in the first place. Cage was given the able to control time when he killed the Omega at the end of the first film. While we always saw time revert back to about the same spot, he might be able to travel back in time with the Omega’s power. This could be an interesting way of viewing the battle of Verdun.

I believe that he can add the prequel to the story in a easy way. He start the prequel off how he finish the first film with him on the plane and continuing from there showing what happens next.

I think the idea to create a sequel that is also a prequel is pretty cool. I also at the same time, however; think that it is kind of a confusing thing and complicated to understand. I had a love/hate relationship with how the movie ended, but I do think that they could somehow make an addition to it in the sequel/prequel. If it were me, my idea would be somewhat along the lines of the following. I would have Cage casually ask Rita out on a date and have her say yes. Then once they are on their date he would drop little hints of things she likes (that she told him in the "past"). It would almost be a romantic sequel, but at the same time it would turn into an adventure. He would gradually work up to telling her that he knows her a lot better than she knows him because he met her before, over and over again. And eventually he would end up telling her everything that happened and they would end up getting married and having kids. Throughout the movie though I would have flashbacks to when Rita and Cage were young and the flashbacks would show how they are similar and why they end up being sole mates. It would portray that they are each missing something and looking for something to fill that void. For example for Rita it might be that she wants to be independent, but have a man love her for that and treat her as a princess because he knows that even though she is capable of doing it herself, she doesn't have to because she has him, and for Cage it might be that he wants to find an adventurous girl who gets him out of his comfort zone even though he might not realize that that is what he wants, but as the story would go on he would realize that there is so much for to life when you take risks especially with a woman you love. So if I was able to create the sequel/prequel that is a vague description of how I would go about doing it, which is why I hope they come out with one and I can't wait to see what the story line is.

I think that he will show how Rita became who she is in the edge of tomorrow film. I think he should have Cage explain to Rita what had happened in the past couple of restarts and say how they both had sacrificed a lot to find and kill the omega. He should have Rita explain to Cage what she did to become the person she is in the edge of tomorrow film.

After reading the interview, the idea of a sequel that is also a prequel still does not make sense in my head. I think the best way is to have the Omega be the main character and the movie would follow the aliens around. Another way is to go back to the day before Cage got off the helicopter and then skip the whole war and have them be pushed into another invasion on the aliens. My first idea was to have another character kill an Alpha and get its blood so that the day would be told from their perspective over and over until Cage kills the Omega and they wake up getting told that the war is over. The story could also go further down the path of Cage and Rita having a relationship, but then getting pushed into helping another invasion. Again, the idea of a sequel that is also a prequel is a very hard thing to get my head around.

The film ended with Cage waking up on the same day again, but this time he was in a different location instead of in the barracks. He was back in the helicopter where he was supposed to be. The difference was that the omega was gone and Cage had its blood again. One option the director could use for his pre-sequel, would be to play out different scenarios of Cage living his life, unless Cage got another blood transplant.

After watching Edge of Tomorrow, I was pleased with the movie, but I did not feel very satisfied with the ending. However, I do not think that a sequel is the solution to my displeasure. With all the sequels, prequels and reboots being produced today I'd rather not see another. This being said, I still believe that the sequel could be successful because of the director. The Bourne Trilogy was such a success that I see no reason an Edge of Tomorrow sequel will be otherwise. With the time travel effect of the movie I think that Liman can create a very interesting Edge of Tomorrow sequel. Also, because of the movies clean cut ending, the next movie can really go anywhere.

I think it would be a good idea for Doug Liman to make a sequel that is also a prequel. It would probably focus more on Vrataski's background, and when she had the "juice" in her blood. Talk more about how the Mimics and Alpha started out and all of the background on them too.

Since the movie depends upon the concept of time travel, a sequel-prequel sounds doable. I think it would be interesting to see how it’s done. Since the film ends with Cage and Rita as strangers, they would have to rebuild their friendship in the sequel. Then, they’d have to keep living days that they’ve already experienced. Liman says that it’s unlike any other kind of sequel, so it’s hard to imagine exactly how it might be, but it’s exciting to think about the possibilities. I think it will be a mixture of giving background information leading up to the original movie (like a prequel) and showing what life is like for Cage and Rita after the aliens are defeated and everything seems to be “back to normal” (like a sequel).

I think that doing a sequel/prequel is going to be a very hard thing to do. How the ending went, It would be best to show how the mimics got to earth and lead up to the current movie. Viewers who didn't see the first movie would get a better understanding of the event leading to the main movie. Moneywise, I have no idea how much its going to cost, but it would be interesting to find out. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think that Liman's direction of a "prequel sequel" will have to go towards the start of the invasion of the mimics. With this, there will need to be a stronger backstory of the mimics and their origins. I think it would also follow Rita and her experience with the "alpha power" as well as how she adapted to Verdun. As for Cage, he would need a deeper backstory and maybe to delve deeper into the creation of the exo-suits. In my opinion, I think that this may be a bad idea. It would be hard to achieve the same feeling that the first Edge of Tomorrow achieved. Prequel sequels seem to not do the best, even with blockbuster movie series like Star Wars.

I think it will be really hard to make a sequel to the edge of tomorrow because the movie is based on the same day happening over and over. For the next one maybe he would have to go further back to explain how this happened in the first place. Honestly i don't think the second one would be as good as the first simply on how the story takes place.

I found the article very interesting. I found that making a prequel, in my opinion, doesn't seem like a good idea. I like the cliffhanger it left me on. I like not knowing what was going to happen next. The director made an amazing choice with how he ended the film, he should have just left it at that. I could see how the story could continue. They could show us what happens to him and how his life proceeds. I just personally believe that they should leave it as it is. It's a great film that doesn't need explaining.

in my opinion I believe making a prequel or sequel to this is going to be hard. For instance they've told everything they have about the story in the movie. The movies ending was very weird also so how do you bring something after the ending were it is just a cliffhanger. However it would be interesting in how the make the prequel they can go into detail of what happened after the war or what the main character is doing. Lastly I personally believe this movie doesn't need a prequel.

The edge of tomorrow is an action film that messes with the laws of time. I believe that with this sort of plot style, it leaves itself open to plenty of ways a new film could be made. Liman could take the time aspect of the film and almost flip it on itself by creating a pre-sequel of sorts. Making it seem as if this film never happened and that earlier the aliens did something else to evade the outcome of Cage's actions. Or he could even create an identical plot line to that of Cage just putting Rita at Verdun as him instead which could provide some very interesting and cool backstory. Either way i believe this film deserves a prequel or sequel and I think it would be very interesting to see how Liman draws the audience in this time around.

Edge of Tomorrow was a good film. I thought it was interesting how the director kept the movement going even though different events were happening. I'm skeptical to see a sequel to this film. I think the idea of making the sequel actually a prequel is a dumb idea. I feel like the next movie going to be about Rita and when she first went into the loop and how that all happened. If they were to make the sequel about what happened after I think that they could talk about how he's still in a loop even though they defeated the monster. I'm very excited to see how this plays out.

Edge of Tomorrow was a very good film. Seeing that Liman is playing with time there is a lot of possibilities of what he can do for the next movie. Making the next movie a sequel to this movie might be interesting. To see this film first, and when the next one comes out you see Cage's progression towards this stage. Leaving the movie on a cliffhanger definitely leaves tons of options for Liman to work with in creating another film, whether he wants to make it a prequel or a sequel to this movie. Personally, I think a sequel would be better, but the idea of a prequel after the sequel was already made intrigues me.

There are multiple ways that Edge of Tomorrow 2 can go. They could follow Cruise's character before the entire debacle and show what he did before what happened in the first movie and how he got his self in that predicament. This would give further insight on what happened to him. They could also follow Blunt's character and show what she did when she was going through the same thing that Cruise was going through in Edge of Tomorrow. This would show how she handled the situation and why she was so eager to help Cruise out. Both of these ideas are something that I can see them doing and doing well.
